Pat Guadagno &The Mutineers
With Jake Thistle • Vini Lopez • Arlan Feiles and more
American Idol finalist Jake Thistle and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Vini ‘Mad Dog’ Lopez join New Jersey troubadour Pat Guadagno and a powerhouse band of renowned musical “gunslingers” for an electrifying celebration of the music of Warren Zevon — one of America’s most brilliant and enigmatic songwriters.
A master craftsman revered by fellow musicians, Zevon’s legacy was ultimately cemented with his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame more than two decades after his passing from a rare form of cancer. Though songs like Werewolves of London and Lawyers, Guns and Money became cornerstones of American rock, Zevon was never driven by commercial success. His richly expansive catalog has been recorded and championed by artists including Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen, and Jerry Garcia.
The connections to Zevon’s music run deep. As a young LA artist, Arlan Feiles exchanged musical ideas with neighborhood friend Jordan Zevon, often under the approving eye of his father. Guadagno’s own rendition of Don’t Let Us Get Sick earned international recognition after being featured in the Showtime series Californication, introducing Zevon’s poignancy to a new generation.
Guadagno and company bring Zevon’s razor-sharp wit, dark humor, and poetic storytelling vividly to life with the depth, fire, and reverence that have become Guadagno’s trademark as he continues his acclaimed series of musical celebrations, BobFest (Bob Dylan), A Marvelous Night (Van Morrison), Heart of Saturday Night (Tom Waits), Souvenirs (John Prine), Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen), 100 Years of Hank (Hank Williams), and 20,000 Roads (Gram Parsons).
